Refund policy

Digital files cannot be handed back, so here is how refunds actually work.

Last updated 18 October 2026

The principle

Once a template has been downloaded, it cannot be returned. That is why every product page carries a full slide preview: you should be able to see exactly what you are buying before you spend anything. If the preview left something unclear, that is on us, and we would rather refund you than argue about it.

When we will refund

  • The file will not open, or is corrupt, and we cannot fix it for you.
  • The template is materially different from its preview and description.
  • You were charged twice for the same template.
  • You bought the wrong template and have not downloaded it.

When we usually will not

  • You changed your mind after downloading the file.
  • You do not have software that opens .pptx files. Compatibility is listed on every product page before purchase.
  • You wanted a design that the previews clearly did not show.

None of this overrides consumer rights you have where you live. If your local law gives you a stronger right to a refund on digital goods, that law wins.

How to request one

  1. Use the contact form and choose Refund as the topic.
  2. Include the order number from your Gumroad receipt, or from your purchases.
  3. Tell us what went wrong. A sentence is plenty.

Who actually issues it

Gumroad processed the payment, so Gumroad issues the refund. We authorise it from the seller side and Gumroad returns the money to the original payment method. That normally takes a few business days to appear, depending on your bank.

When the refund goes through, the order status here changes to Refunded automatically, and the license for that template ends.

Chargebacks

If something has gone wrong, please write to us first. A chargeback costs everyone more and takes longer than an email that starts “this did not work”.
